I Feel Pretty, Oh So Pretty. But Not Witty.

Tip Of The Day: My latest and greatest TV outfit, plus where I bought it, PLUS what I paid for it. Also, info on a few not-to-be-missed sales you simply MUST check out. Or less. You heard me.

Tip For Tomorrow: Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes, turn and face the strange. A list (ARGH) of all the changes I want to make in my blog, plus an opportunity for you to weigh in on what you’d like me to include. Because this is a democracy, people. Unless I disagree with you, then it’s my way or the highway.

Further Elucidation Of My Cheap Deal: Yup, it’s true, I’m going to be on TV again. I’ll keep you posted of when, where, why and how – just as soon as I know. Which I don’t. So don’t ask me. In the mean time, here’s what I wore for the segment. And, unfortunately, I have to jot this down in a list format. Lists are going to haunt me the rest of my life, aren’t they?

1. Red double-breasted wool jacket – Steve and Barry’s, $14.99
2. Black ribbed turtleneck sweater – Kohl’s, $11.99 on sale
3. Gray/green buttoned A-line wool skirt – Banana Republic, $14.99 on clearance
4. Black tights – Marshalls, $7 for a two-pack, so $3.50 each
5. Black micro-suede boots by Isaac MizrahiTarget, $9.24 on clearance
6. Faux-diamond hoops – Aldo, $12
Total for the outfit: $66.71

I think the look turned out well, and it’s definitely a departure from the jacket/pants combo I wore in my first two appearances. Plus, those boots ROCK – even though I needed them like a hole in my head.

Fabulous Sales: Starting yesterday, and running through this weekend, JCPenney has all their winter stuff on FINAL CLEARANCE at 75% off. I got a cashmere sweater for $19.97; seriously, I kid you not. And at that price, I would have been losing money if I didn’t buy it. Yes, I really can justify any purchase, can’t I?

At DSWDirect Shoe Warehouse – they have loads of footwear on sale for 30 to 50% off. And it’s stuff you WANT to wear, not just the funky leftovers. I found approximately 12 pairs of shoes/boots/heels I could have bought. But I practiced RESTRAINT. Also, I had already bought two pairs of boots.

On February 18th at Saver’s, everything is on sale for 50% off. Go early, because their stores are guaranteed to be swamped by eager thrift hounds. Like me.

Those are some kicky boots. I would also like to point out that I got my wool winter coat at S&B's and it only cost $8.98. So there!

So apparently on your blog all readers are equal, but some are more equal than others? How very Animal Farm of you. (I was going to say Animal House, but that is something very different ENTIRELY. TOGA!)

You look like a SUPER-STAH! I am blinded by your light. Remember me in your Oscar speech please. I'm the redhead with the wool coat for $8.98!!

Love the boots! I am a fan of S&B's for cheap work clothes.

Do you have links to the other times you were on TV? Why don't you post them? The public demands it.

I believe DSW is Designer Shoe Warehouse, not Direct Shoe Warehouse. However, their website only calls themselves DSW, DSW Shoes or DSW Inc, so I have no proof to show you.

DSW is a very happy place.
