I Say A Little Prayer For You

I will NOT be reporting on the cool thing I was going to do this weekend, because my partner in crime is in the hospital having emergency gall-bladder surgery. Please take a brief moment to say a prayer (or whatever your spirit moves you to do, I’m not judgy) for Miss Larue, who is losing YET ANOTHER ORGAN.

Dear Larue’s Doctors,
Please stop taking her organs. She’s running low on supplies, and I fear you’ll soon begin taking the important ones, like her liver, or her brain. I’m fairly certain she needs those. Thanks!
The Cheap Chick

So instead of wandering through Mecca (aka, S.R. Harris) looking at Ren Fest fabric for 50% off, Larue will be bed-bound in an undisclosed hospital. Which, apparently, has a lovely view and cable TV, and all the morphine she can pump. It’s like a mini-vacation for our busy seamstress.

I’ll be back this afternoon with amazing readers’ tips, but no weekend plans. S.R. Harris will have to be rescheduled for the following weekend. Lucky for us all, it’s always there, waiting like the gold at the end of a rainbow.

Thanks for thinking of me. And if I intend on contiuing to drink margaritas, I will indeed need that liver. The brain could, perhaps, be optional. Maybe.

In addition to the gallbladder, I also got my toenail removed. I tried to get them to do my deviated septum at the same time (for a surgical trifecta) but apparently that was 1 too many. Sigh. So much for medical multi-tasking.

And I will SO be at SR Harris next weekend, even if I have to ride on a scooter. Which might not be a bad option if it has plenty of space for fabric.....
